My Approach
Counseling will take some effort but it can pay off. Some benefits you may notice following are:

1) Decreased stress and less overwhelmed.
2) Improved emotion regulation and decreased mood swings.
3) Acquired knowledge and skills to manage your mental health more effectively.
4) Improved relationships.
5) Increased motivation.
6) Higher self confidence.
7) Enhanced emotional intelligence.

Your feelings are your own; Your thoughts are your own; and Your experiences are your own and not for another to judge or dismiss.
I view a counselors role as someone who creates a non judgmental space for others to be validated, listened, and understood. Using their knowledge to help others identify the source to their suffering, reduce pain and promote healing through learned knowledge. I'm ready to listen and help you understand yourself more.
I take a holistic approach to your care and treatment. That includes being mindful and understanding of all aspects when it comes to your physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual. They all are an important part of the process and I don't want either neglected. I am happy to work with your other providers/team to assist in your recovery. I may utilize any of the following modalities within your care and treatment.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Art, Attachment work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Family Systems, Mindful Based, Person Centered, Play Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Strength Based, and Trauma Focused.
